"Witchtanic Hellucinations" Repress

Acid Witch's first album "Witchtanic Hellucinations" is now available again courtesy of Hells Headbangers. This version features a new painting on the back cover I did exclusively for this version. The layout has been changed as well so one can easily distinguish between the original pressing and the new one...don't want anyone getting ripped off by unscrupulous bastards selling these as the first press that tend to go for absurd amounts on ebay! Vinyl version is now in the works and should be out soon with some extras...possibly another die-cut?

Spreading The Disease With Infectonator

 

Logo design for INFECTONATOR, a new sickening thrash / death metal project from Doomy G. Blackthrash of Lansing legends SAURON. It also features current BORROWED TIME axe wizard Matt Prestone and some insane drum work from Justin Henry of DARK PSYCHOSIS among others. I've only seen them once but they ripped through a short set of KREATOR "Terrible Certainty" style face melting metal and did not disappoint! Michigan kills again!

Borrowed Time - Black Olympia

Artwork for the new Borrowed Time / Wytch Hazel split ep on High Roller records from Germany. Coming Soon. Borrowed Time's new track, Black Olympia, showcases some new progressive elements for the band. The influence of Manilla Road is evident, so much so that it influenced my artwork on a subconscious level I believe. Wytch Hazel is a new band from England that draws deep influence from that country's heavy metal roots. They have a very archaic and old sound that brings to mind Trespass, Paralex, Bleak House and even Wishbone Ash (!?) Here's a link to the superb High Roller label....http://www.hrrecords.de/

Stay Creepy...

New "fan-art" celebrating one of my favorite painters of all time (Sanjulian) as well as one of my favorite publications of all time (Creepy)! The painting itself measure 30" x 40" on canvas and currently resides in the private collection of Mr. Pete Gibbs, glass artist extraordinaire. The "Creepy" mockup was done by "Slasher" Dave Monastiere. Thanks Dave, it looks killer and quite authentic if I must say. Keep an eye out for more collaborations between Dave and myself with our new horror aesthetics company, HORROR SHRIEK.  Much thanks to the GODLY Manuel "Sanjulian" Clemente for eternal inspiration as well as for the many hours I have spent staring intently at his work with a childlike sense of wonder asking myself "how'd he do that?". A true unsung legend in the fantasy/horror art realm!

Coven 13

Artwork inspired by a really cool yet somewhat forgotten Detroit band, COVEN 13. Their 1987 Lp, "Worship New Gods" (released as just Coven, they would soon add the 13 to their name due to threats of being sued by the Indiana Coven of "Witchcraft: Destroys Minds And Reaps Souls" fame.) is an oft overlooked gem. The sound is hard to describe but depending on ones musical point of view I could see people classifying this as anything from heavy metal to traditional doom to deathrock. I can safely say it would appeal to fans of all genres. Considering how trendy goth and deathrock are becoming in the metal and punk scenes again, it's a shame that this band no longer exists. They could have ridden the wave to some success no doubt. As evidence of this, Shadow Kingdom records has recently re-issued "Worship New Gods" for the first time ever on CD! When There's No More Room In Hell...The (Walking) Dead Will Walk The Earth

I sure got sucked in by this Robert Kirkman penned series upon being introduced to the comic books a few years ago. I had always wanted to paint a rendition of the books lead protagonist and gloomy anti-hero, Rick Grimes...so here it is. Since the painting was inspired by the comic and not the T.V. show I decided to mock up the cover like it was an issue in the series.

Crawl To Nothing

These fine folks have been around working their asses off to support the DIY punk and metal scenes in the Mid-West for years and tour all the time around the country. Slightly different design work on the logo's and text done by myself then what was actually printed on the covers...I prefer it my way...

The Ultimate Roid Rage...Starting a Blog!?

So, yes, I've finally went ahead and made a blog. After many years of being asked "You've got a blog, right?" and "Your on facebook, right?" and then being met with blank stares of confusion when I have to tell people I have neither, I've finally caved and decided to make this here blog. I suppose I felt it was the lesser of two evils. Ha, Ha screw you Zuckerberg! You haven't defeated me yet! Much like my childhood vow never to watch the James Cameron film "Titanic" (in my young teen mind the director of such films as Terminator 1 & 2, Aliens, and Pirahna 2: The Spawning doing a melodrama about some old-ass ship was blasphemy...still is) my vow never to have a facebook is still in tact...for now. So without further ado, what better way to start this off then with an Ultimate Warrior spoof and a goof.
